README This is the README file for Mirai 1.0 Patch 4. ===== 1.0 On the NT platform, ***DO NOT*** uninstall previously installed patches. Doing so may uninstall components required to run Mirai. ===== 2.0 This patch includes: - New behavior for "Default Editor" in New Element dialog. - Removal of displacements generated through "noise." - Other minor fixes. ===== 3.0 This patch fixes the following bugs (if you need more info, contact Nichimen Graphics Support): Bug # Description ------ ----------- Lights ====== 4426 Assigning light groups to compound objects containing skeletons or mappers. Previously, if you restructured either a skeleton or a mapper under an "lightable" object, assigning a light group to that compound object caused an error. UI == 5220 New Default Editor behavior for New Element dialog. If you use the File>New Element menu item to open the New Element dialog, the Target Editor is set to "Default Editor," which adds the entity to the scene, but does not make it visible in any editor. Default Editor now has the following behavior: - If a single valid editor is open, the entity is made visible in that editor. - If more than one valid editor is open, the entity is made visible in the last opened editor. - If there is no valid editor for the specified entity, the entity is added to the scene, but is not made visible in any editor. Geometry ======== RFE 373 A new feature, Cull Elements>Displacement Noise has been added, which lets you remove very small displacements from a body. To use the command, [R] on the body and choose Cull Elements>Displacement Noise. You can specify the tolerance value for what qualifies a displacement as "noise." 5293 Make Cull Elements>Displacement Noise work with skins. Skeleton ======== 5295 Using Convert to Human on a skeleton after adding bones caused an error. You can now convert a skeleton to human as long as it conforms to the topological requirements for the human skeleton.
